Chocolate Brownies: in mixing bowl over double boiler add 5 ounces bitter sweet chocolate and 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, 1 stick butter. Once melted whisk in 3 tbsp cocoa powder and 1 tbsp espresso powder. I'm deprecate mixing bowl add 3 whole eggs, 1 tsp table salt, 3 tsp vanilla and 1 1/4 cup Sugar. Whisk together and add chocolate mixture and once mixed add 1 cup AP flour. Make an Aluminum foil sling spray with vegetable oil and pour in batter. Bake at 350 middle rack 30-40 min then let cool wire rack in the pan for 2 hrs....adapted season 2 ATK

Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Color: Copper
Nose: Oak, Port, Coco, Spice, and Dark Fruit
Taste: Sweet syrup on the front of the palate followed by a mild bread flavor on the mid palate and leather and tobacco around the edges of the tongue and towards the back of the palate.
Finish: A very pleasant black pepper finish with only the hint of a burn followed by mint and a dry final note.

Impression: We think that this Elijah Craig barrel proof is one of the best bangs for the buck. This is one of our favorite bourbons. We truly consider it one of the benchmarks for Kentucky bourbon. We understand that this bourbon will be replacing the Elijah Craig 12 small batch. This does not bother us at all. Even with the high proof it can be enjoyed neat. We did find that adding just a splash of limestone branch water really allowed this bourbon to open up and bloom.
