Nose: Caramell, oak, nuts, spice, dark fruit/cherries
Taste: Licorice and fireball cinnamon on the front of the tongue followed by baking spices and spearmint on the side. A wonderful smoldering burn at the posterior palette
Body: Thick and chewy
Finish: Long finish that hangs on with all its might
Personality: Warren Buffet
Notes: This offering from Elijah Craig won whiskey of the year in 2017. It’s well deserved and has a complex and intricate structure. It is similar in structure and nose to the George T Stagg. The poor man’s Stagg.
