Big chewy oatmeal raisin cookies- 2 sticks of room temperature butter in stand mixer and cream with paddle. Add 1 cup granulated sugar and after 20 seconds add 1 cup light brown sugar then 2 lightly beaten eggs then add 1.5 cups AP flour and 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt. Then add 3 cups whole oats and 1.5 cups raisins and 1/4 tsp nutmeg. Scoop 2 tbsp on parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake 22 minutes middle rack 350 and let cool on wire rack...adapted ATK season 1

Finish: A long slow burn that envelopes the entire palate that eventually fades leaving a sweet afterthought

Impression: Remember... a single barrel varies from barrel to barrel. While one barrel may produce a whiskey with a very short finish another may have a wonderfully long finish. We found this bourbon to be very complex from start to finish. The packaging is exceptional and nose is wonderful. We immediately noticed the caramel and toffee sweetness that covers the entire tongue. The finish is very pleasant and does not weaken very much even when water is added, but we recommend drinking this bourbon neat.
