Impression: Bury your nose in this whiskey. One of the absolute best. The price point is high, but well worth the cost. Amazing finish!
Angel Food Cake: use a 9 3/4 inch tube pan with a removable bottom and line the bottom with parchment paper. Do not grease the sides. Mix 1 cup of sifted cake flour with 3/4 cup sifted granulated sugar and whisk. In another bowl combine 3/4 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 tsp cream of tartar. In stand mixer, beat 12 egg whites at medium speed until frothy then add the sugar/cream of tartar mixture 1 tbsp at a time until soft peaks form then add 1.5 tsp lemon juice, 1.5 tsp vanilla and .5 tsp almond extract and beat 5 more seconds. Fold in the cake flour mixture by sifting in 3 tbsp at a time. Pour into the tube pan and bake 50 minutes at 325 middle rack. Let cool upside down 1 hr then use paring knife to dislodge the cake.
