Color: Dark Brown Leather
Nose: Butterscotch, Toasted Marshmallows, Baking Spices
Chocolate, Almonds
Taste: The sweetness of caramel is the first note that you notice on the tip of the tongue followed by a leather astringency on the sides of the tongue and cherries/dark fruit throughout
Finish: There is a wonderful cinnamon burn that coats the entire palate and lingers for what seems like an eternity
Personality: Chewbacca
Impression: George T Stagg always has a wonderful nose. This is a high proof bourbon and we recommend that you try it neat at least once, but then you need to add just a splash of water to really appreciate the nuances of this bourbon. We found that adding just a splash of limestone branch water really loosens up the nose and allows the dark fruit notes to come forward. The water also causes the palatal experience to explode. George T Stagg remains one of our favorite whiskies. If Willy Wonka bade bourbon, this would be the one. Finding a bottle is like finding a golden ticket.

Color: Penny
Nose: Crème brûlée, cherries, pulmes, coffee, oak, and chocolate
Taste: Butterscotch and German chocolate cake on the front of the palate followed by a soft leather astringency on the sides of the tongue. Once a splash of water is added a candied orange note can be found in the background.
Finish: A fantastic cinnamon finish that coats the entire palate with just a hint of spearmint afterthought
Personality: George Clooney
Impression: George T. Stagg is always one of our favorite bourbons. This wonderful bourbon becomes more complex with just a splash of branch limestone water. We recommend that you try it first without the water, but because of its high proof and complex flavor it is best enjoyed with just a splash of water.
