Nose: Oak, Spice, Vanilla, Toasted Almonds, and Cola
Taste: A strong toffee flavor on the front palate that marries very well with a dry leather and mint aspect on the hind palate.
Finish: The burn is a slow building burn that has a grenade type delay of red pepper chili flakes.
Body: Thick

Personality: Larry Bird

Impression: For barrel proof, this Jack Daniel's is very smooth. The finish is a show stopper. We love how this whiskey starts off with a sweet prelude followed by an interlude of leather and mint followed by the epilogue of spice and burn. For the price, this is our favorite Jack Daniel's. This is a must buy.




Thai Chicken Basil - process 1 cup of packed basil leaves, 3 cloves garlic, 6 green Thai chiles for 6 one second pulses. Reserve 1 tbsp of this mixture and combine with 1 tbsp fish sauce and 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tsp white vinegar, 1 tbsp sugar. Put the rest of the basil mixture in a cold skillet and set aside . Take 1 pound of boneless skinless chicken breast and 1 tbsp fish sauce and process for ten 1 sec pulses and refrigerate for 30 min so the chicken brines. Slice 3 shallots and combine with 2 tbsp vegetable oil and mix with basil in skillet and cook on medium low for 7 min then add Chicken and turn to medium for 4 min. Then add reserved basil processed mixture and cool one minute . The. Add 1 cup whole basil leaves and cook for 30 sec. Garnish with red pepper flakes and lime juice...adapted from season 11 ATK
