Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Very Small Batch 

90 Proof

Color: Light Copper
Nose: Caramel, Oak, and Vanilla
Taste: Salt Water Taffey on the front of the palate followed by Oak and Caramel on the mid palate.
Body: Light
Finish: Light and Clean with only a low smoldering burn and and just a hint of mint

Impression: Forget Rum. Pirates should have aged whiskey at sea. A very well constructed whiskey with crisp clean finish and an excellent aftertaste.

Chocolate sour cream bundt cake: brush bundt cake pan with 1 tbsp melted butter and 1 tbsp cocoa powder. Wet ingredients- 3/4 cup cocoa powder, 6 ounces bitter sweet chocolate 1 tsp instant espresso. Add 3/4 cup boiling water and whisk well and let cool to room temp. Dry ingredients- 1 3/4 cup AP flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp table salt whisk together. Once chocolate is cooled add 1 cup sour cream. In stand mixer, cream 12 tbsp butter and 2 cups light brown sugar for 3 minutes. Then add 5 whole eggs one at a time and 1 tbsp vanilla. Then add 1/3 flour mixture than 1/3 the chocolate mixture and alternate till all added. Pour batter in bundt cake pan and bake 350 middle rack for 50 minutes then let cool ten minutes wire rack and flip out...serve with raspberrys, whipped cream and confectioners sugar...adapted from season 5 ATK
