Finish: A very smooth finish for a rye. Not your typical rye burn.

Impression: We like this rye but compared to other offerings from Lock Stock and Barrel we found that this 16 year offering did not deliver the complexity and burn of its younger sibling.
Crepes- in a blender mix: 1 1/2 cup AP flour, 1 1/2 cup whole milk, 5 tbsp melted butter, 3 tbsp sugar, 3 whole eggs, 1/2 tsp table salt blend for ten seconds. In a non stick skillet place 1 tbsp butter on medium heat and once foaming subsides add 1/4 cup batter and remove from heat. Use a crepe rake to spread out in a circle and return to heat. After 30 seconds flip and brown the other side. Sauce- brown sugar bourbon butter sauce: In sauce pan heat 1/2 cup brown sugar and 7 tbsp heavy cream in medium heat then add 2.5 tbsp butter and whisk until a boil then are 1.5 tbsp bourbon off heat ...adapted from ATK
