Impression: Another excellent offering from Michter's. Very sweet and tame for a barrel strength. Compared to other ryes in this category we found that the Michter's barrel strength rye is a good introductory rye for the neophyte. The nose is enticing and the palate is very forgiving. If you are looking for a spice bomb this whiskey is not for you, but if you are looking for a smooth, Sunday evening rye that can be enjoyed by all, then this is it.
