Impression: We like this bourbon especially the high rye content. Old Forester Birthday Bourbon is a once a year special release that first started in 2002. We realize that every year Birthday Bourbon will be unique and never to be duplicated but that is what makes this bourbon so special. This bourbon is outstanding especially when you consider the price point. Your average whiskey drinker may never have even heard of Old Forster Birthday Bourbon, but we recommend that you buy it when you find it in your local store. We anticipate this as much as we anticipate the BTAC releases each fall.

Nose: Oak, Toasted Marshmallows, Spice
Taste: Honey Suckle on the front of the palate with a touch of the toasted marshmallows that from the nose followed by an astringent leather on the sides and baking spices.
Body: Thick
Finish: There is a medium rye burn that does not linger very long but the sweeter notes on the plate carry throughout to the end.
Personality: Donald Trump
Impression: Birthday bourbon is always a treat.
