Pappy Van Winkle
20 Year Old
Tasting Notes
90.4 Proof
Color: Light Copper
Nose: Caramel, Oak, Baking Spices, and Black Pepper
Taste: There is a cherry cough syrup on the front of the palate followed by an astringency on the side of the tongue mixed with leather.
Body: Thin
Finish: The finish is a bit disappointing with absolutely no burn and only a hint of mint and black pepper.
Personality: Pappy Van Winkle
Impression: Out of all the Pappys this is the most overrated of the bunch. If it's your objective to collect this addition then buy it... but they're better tasting Pappys in the family. Not a Pappy that has you coming back for seconds.
