Impression: This Redemption is much sweeter and smoother than its 7 year old brother. Even though it is a high proof whiskey, it does not necessarily need to be cut with limestone branch water. We really like the 7 year Redemption, but this 8 year offering has taken it from the major leagues to the hall of fame. It is a pleasant surprise that just one additional year in the barrel makes this an outstanding rye whiskey.
